Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday said that Telangana would shape the future of artificial intelligence globally with its path-breaking initiatives.
Describing the AI as yet another disruptive technology, he said his government would initiate all possible efforts to make Hyderabad AI capital of India.
In his short speech after inaugurating Telangana Global AI Summit, he also listed out various disruptive technologies the world witnessed so far and said AI would cause a far bigger disruption than many of those in the past.
He also released the logo of AI City that the Telangana government is planning to develop in its proposed Future City, the 4th city of Hyderabad. Revanth Reddy also released a detailed report brought out by World Trade Center Shamshabad Genome Valley in association with KPMG. The report detailed how the Telangana State could be transformed into a 1-trillion-dollar economic powerhouse in due course. Revanth Reddy also inaugurated AI exhibition and visited several stalls there.
The Chief Minister also met Daniel Kamb, IBM’s Vice President, and discussed about future opportunities in AI.
Meanwhile, the Telangana government announced an advisory council of experts to guide the efforts of the Telangana government to develop AI ecosystem and roll out AI technologies.
